Medtronic acquired Kyphon, one of the leaders in restoring spinal function through minimally invasive therapies, to help accelerate the growth of Medtronic’s existing spinal business. This allowed Metronic to extend their product offerings into some of the fastest growing product segments with better opportunities to meet the needs of both patients and surgeons. One of the tools that Medtronic acquired through the Kyphon purchase was the minimally invasive approach, Kyphon Balloon Kyphoplasty. Medtronic approached archer>malmo to develop a marketing tool to promote this technique and tutor surgeons about its surgical process.

A multi-language, interactive CD was developed (available in Spanish, Italian, German, French and English) to accommodate surgeons in different regions of the world. The CD offered video tutorials of the surgical process.

As this project is in production, results cannot be quantified yet; however, initial client feedback has been very positive. The execution surpassed their expectations, and they expect to enlist our expertise in application development as they search for cost-effective solutions for their business challenges.
